RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY

At Kahanni, we take immense pride in crafting sarees that tell timeless stories through heritage, design, and detail.
Due to the handcrafted and limited-edition nature of our products, we do not offer exchanges for change of mind, size, or design preference. The only exception is in the case of damaged or incorrect products, where a replacement of the same product will be provided (subject to availability).

We offer returns for store credit only, under the terms below:

1. What Can Be Returned

  • A return request is raised within 3 days of order delivery.
  • The product is unused, unwashed, and in original condition with tags and packaging intact.
  • The return is initiated only once per order.
  • Orders placed using a store credit are not eligible for further returns or exchanges.

2. What Cannot Be Returned

Due to our small-batch operations and the handcrafted nature of our products, the following items are not eligible:

  • Products bought on sale or discount
  • Customized items (e.g., blouse stitching, fall/pico, etc.)
  • Items showing signs of use, damage, or fragrance
  • Sarees returned without original tags or packaging
  • Products labeled as Final Sale
  • Minute variations in color, weave, or pattern are a hallmark of handmade products — no two pieces are exactly alike.

3. Return Process

To raise a request:

  • Email info@kahanni.com within 3 days of delivery with your order number, reason for return, and clear images (if applicable).
  • Once approved, we’ll share the return instructions.
  • Domestic Orders:
    Eligible for free reverse pickup where serviceable.
    If your pincode is not serviceable for reverse pickup, you may self-ship to our warehouse and receive ₹100 store credit to offset your shipping cost.
  • International Orders:
    No reverse pickup available. Customers must ship the product back at their own cost, including customs duties.
    Not eligible for replacement or exchange.
    Refunds as store credit for the product value only; shipping charges are non-refundable.

4. Damaged or Incorrect Products

If you receive a damaged or incorrect product:

  • Contact us within 24 hours of delivery at info@kahanni.com with your order number and an unboxing video or clear images as proof.
  • If verified, we will: Arrange a reverse pickup and send a replacement of the same product free of charge, or Issue store credit if the same product is not available.
  • Misprints, minor weaving irregularities, and slight color differences from images are not considered defects — they are signs of authenticity in handcrafted products.

5. Store Credit:

  • A store credit will be issued within 2 - 3 working days after QC clearance. It will be provided via email.
  • The store credit is valid for 365 Days.
  • Store credit will be for the sale amount of the returned products only (shipping charges are not credited).

6. Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placement. After this period or once the order is shipped, cancellations are not possible or will incur a flat deduction of ₹180 from the refund/store credit.

7. Final Authority

Kahanni reserves the right to make the final decision in all return, refund, and replacement matters.

This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Please review before placing each order.
